John Savoca

John Savoca brings over 18 years of legal experience to Berniard & Savoca. At the firm, he represents plaintiffs who have had their lives forever altered by Hurricane Michael, assisting them in all aspects of property damage claims, insurance disputes, and related issues. John lives with his wife in Panama City Beach and has a deep connection with the state of Florida and its residents. He has made it his mission to help injured Floridians, as well as those struggling with the loss of their home or business, navigate the insurance claims process. When disputes arise, John is a zealous advocate for the rights of his clients.

Prior to earning his law degree from the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, John enjoyed a successful career in retail and wholesale mortgage lending, sales management, and operations. After being admitted to the Florida Bar, he began his practice in the area of insurance defense. During this time, he provided counsel to insurance adjusters and carriers in day-to-day claims management. He also represented insurance providers in trial and appeals.

In 2005, John opened a solo practice as a real estate attorney in Jupiter, Florida. He used his experience in the real estate industry to provide sound advice to real estate owners, sellers, real estate agents, investors, builders, developers, and mortgage professionals in a variety of matters, as well as represent such clients in legal proceedings. John’s skill in property tax appeal litigation helped save many clients hundreds of thousands of dollars.

During the course of his expansive legal career, John has handled nearly every aspect of real estate law, as well as issues involving commercial transactions, estate law, contracts, and business law.

At Berniard & Savoca, John uses his past experience in insurance defense to help his clients efficiently navigate the litigation and appeals process. His knowledge of how insurance adjusters operate allows him the ability to anticipate the opposition’s next move and create personalized strategies designed to help his clients recover the maximum compensation they deserve.

John is an active member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in all state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He has served as a mediator and arbitrator in complex matters and has led courses and lectures on a variety of high-level legal topics.

In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Brenda, and playing guitar in the Oasis Worship Center band in Panama City Beach.
